A strategic partner of the Brazilian Navy since its foundation, Omnisys is a Brazilian high-tech company that has been operating for 25 years with a strong presence in the national and international defence markets - aerospace, security and space - also serving the other Brazilian Armed Forces.
For more than ten years, Omnisys has been involved, together with Thales, in the supply of critical systems for Brazil's Submarine Development Programme, PROSUB, such as sonar arrays (cylindrical, hull and interception), internal and external communication systems and electronic warfare suite. Omnisys' involvement focuses on local support for these systems during their life cycle. In addition, Omnisys was responsible for manufacturing important submarine systems in Brazil, in compliance with the project requirements.
Always focused on generating the most modern technological solutions, the company will supply to Tamandaré Frigates, in partnership with the Institute of Marine Research (IPqM), the MAGE DEFENSOR MK3 electronic warfare equipment. Developed by IPqM, Omnisys will industrialise and manufacture this equipment, as defined by the Brazilian Navy. Also for the Tamandaré Frigates, Omnisys is involved, together with Thales, in the supply of the STIR fire control radars and the TACAN Navaids system, Omnisys being in charge of local support services for installation, integration and testing, in addition to local support for the entire life cycle of the equipment.
Omnisys is also responsible for the development, qualification and industrialisation of the self-guided active radar (Seeker), integrated in MANSUP missiles. The partnership includes technology transfer and local support during the lifetime of the vessel and its systems. Developed entirely by Omnisys with 100% national engineers and technology, the Seeker is used in surface anti-ship missiles and has the most advanced algorithms and signal processing system, providing excellent guidance performance, even in high sea clutter scenarios.
Certified as a Brazilian Defence Company, Omnisys, a subsidiary of Thales in Brazil, has more than 40 products and services certified as Strategic Defence Products. The company considers that the synergy with the Brazilian Navy is the result of work that values the local capacity to generate solutions and products that fully meet the needs of the Brazilian Armed Forces.
